Hello 2012

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!

Bit late, but hey ho. So, once again I come on here and start typing with a message along the lines of “must write more”. Becomng a bit of a cliche if you ask me – which I am going to pretend that you did.

That is why one (I ended up making many) of my New Year resolutions was to… dun-dun-dun… “write more”.

In a bid to see this through, I’ve tasked myself with entering at least one competition a month. I’m off to a good start with two competition entries so far this month. Fingers crossed.

The first was a series of open liners for a story. Prize: free creative writing course. If I win, it may give me some ideas for future stories.

The second was the words with jam short story competition. My entry “The Clock” is a tale of one man’s battle with time.

That’s all I really have to say at the moment. Only reason I really wanted to add it on here – it’s not like anyone currently gives two hoots about this blog – is so that the task and the challenge is out there for people to see. Adding that extra little of pressure that I need. If it is in writing… it must happen.

Well, that’s the theory at least.
